We’ve made the decision to close the DriveScore app.
We know that many of our users have been using DriveScore to understand their driving, record their journeys and access personalised offers, so we want to explain what’s happening and what this means for you.
The app will stop working on Thursday 3rd December 2026.
After this date the DriveScore app will no longer record drives, and you won’t be able to access any of the app’s functionality.
You don’t need to do anything, we’ll handle everything
Does this affect my ClearScore account?
No. DriveScore closing does not affect your ClearScore account.
You'll still be able to use ClearScore as normal to view your credit report and score, check your financial offers and use the other services available through ClearScore.
What happens to my data?
Your data will remain secure and will be handled in accordance with the DriveScore Privacy Policy. We won’t sell your personal data or pass it to anyone new.
Your recorded trips (and any incidents recorded) will be removed 90 days after DriveScore closes on 3 December.
What happens to my recorded trips?
The app will continue to work as normal until 3 December, so you’ll still be able to view your trips and trip history in the app until then.
If you’d like a copy of your trip data to keep or access after the app closes, you’ll need to request this from our Support team before 3 December.
What about my Incident Detection data?
If you’ve had incident detection enabled and this has detected a crash, this data won’t be available after 3 December.
If you’d like a copy of this data, please contact our support team with the details of your trip (including time and date) so we can provide this for you.
Will my car insurance be cancelled?
If you've already purchased a car insurance policy after getting a quote through DriveScore, the closure of DriveScore doesn’t mean your insurance policy will be cancelled.
Your insurance policy is with your insurer and is subject to the terms and conditions you agreed with them.
What happens to my Halo subscription?
If you’ve purchased a DriveScore Halo subscription, we’ll contact you to let you know when this will lapse or you can also view this within the app until 3rd December.
Your policy will lapse automatically and you don’t need to do anything. If you want to continue cover, you’ll need to find this elsewhere.
If you need to make a claim for something that happens before your cover ends but that you report after the app has closed, please use the Coplus portal.
What do I do to claim on my Halo policy?
You can make a claim through the CoPlus Portal and the team will guide you through the process.
If you haven’t already setup portal access before 3 December, you’ll need to register for an account using the steps below. These details can also be found in the email CoPlus sent you when you created your subscription.
How to register:
- Select the link provided here
- Enter the email address used when completing your purchase via DriveScore
-
Choose the option labelled ‘forgot password’ to create your account. This will allow you to setup your password and activate your account.
How do I delete my DriveScore Account?
If you want to delete your account before you lose access on 3 December, it’s really simple.
Just head to the Account Profile tab on the app dashboard, select Support and then click Delete your DriveScore account. If you have a ClearScore account, this won’t affect this.
Can I use my DriveScore to get cheaper car finance/car insurance quotes after its gone?
No, after the 3 December you won’t be able to use your DriveScore to access any quotes or discounts on insurance, car finance or anything else. All of our partner insurers have been informed of DriveScore’s closure and won’t be able to provide quotes based on your DriveScore data once it’s closed.
